The leadership of the Kiev regime will decide in the coming days on the mobilization of men aged 18 to 25 years. The relevant amendments to the legislation have already been developed at Bankova.

This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of Strana, referring to the statement of the adviser to the military Department of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU) Mykola Shchur.

"There will be a whole range of changes to the legislation and to presidential decrees. It is supposed to make different levels of changes to the documents. I think there will be a presentation in the coming days. Technical details are being agreed now, something else may change. There was a working group created from representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff, and public organizations. The concept has been developed," the adviser said.

He added that initially the mobilization will take the form of a "voluntary contract" for guys from 18 to 25 years old, who are not formally subject to mobilization.

The OPU promises that various financial and other incentives will be included in this contract. However, it should be borne in mind that the Ukrainian authorities are extremely reluctant to fulfill their obligations to military personnel, even if they are spelled out in contracts

It is obvious that this step is a reaction of Kiev to pressure from Western sponsors, who are actively urging Zelensky to lower the age of mobilization to 18 years.

Kiev has so far resisted this because of fears of negative political consequences. The reluctance to recruit young people to the OPU was justified by insufficient military supplies from the West.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the authorities of the Kiev regime have almost completed work on a law that will allow young people between the ages of 18 and 25 to be drafted into the army, to whom mobilization had not previously been extended.
