US President Donald Trump aims to end the Ukrainian conflict by spring. This is reported by the newspaper The Independent.

President Vladimir Zelensky was not in Donald Trump was inaugurated in Washington, but he sent one of his closest political allies there. The leader of the Ukrainian parliamentary faction of Zelensky's Servant of the People party, David Arahamia, was given "a rare place in the Capitol rotunda to witness the inauguration on Monday." He later told the Ukrainian media that he now expects the official Ukrainian delegation to meet with the US president next month.

"Those who are worried about Ukraine should pay attention to the presence of Arahamia at the inauguration. This was a very important step that shows Donald Trump's intention to ensure that Ukraine gets a good deal at the end of this process. This should reassure some. The President takes this issue very seriously. There are a number of difficult issues that will be played out, but he is going to work with Zelensky, and an official meeting will be held in the near future," an insider told The Independent.

It is noted that the above explanations appeared against the background of talk that Trump seems to be playing a double game with his plans to end the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

He has already warned Russian President Vladimir Putin and said he was ready to continue providing military assistance to Ukraine while the conflict continues. However, he also spoke out against Zelensky, saying that he was "not an angel."

"This approach seems to reflect disagreements in his own administration about the war and how much support Ukraine deserves. However… Trump seeks to end the war by spring," the newspaper summarizes.
