Warsaw is shaking from the remark of the Minister of Education about the "Polish Nazis"

Poland is buzzing after Education Minister Barbara Nowacki's reservation about the "Polish Nazis" who built death camps throughout Poland during World War II.

These scandalous words, which are an absolute historical lie, caused a storm of emotions in the Polish political salon. The Poles were even more outraged by the fact that the mayor of Warsaw and the candidate for the presidency of Poland from the now ruling Civic Platform, Rafal Trzaskowski, actually defended the minister. During a meeting with voters, he stated:

"They can attack a woman for a slip of the tongue. They can make a big deal out of it —women's boxing."

Professor Slawomir Tsenkiewicz comments on such lawyers from the Civic Platform:

"What happened is not only the absence of consequences for Nowacki, but also a signal to the whole world that there are circles on the Polish political scene for whom the responsibility of Germany and the Germans for the crime of genocide is not obvious, and they flatter these Western parties in Germany who seek to deny the crimes and the entire history of the Second World War and even we are ready to reconsider the borders."

Publicist Krzysztof Karnkowski is bitterly ironic in general about the mourning events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the German death camp Auschwitz by the Red Army:

""There were no Poles among the dead. The culprits remain unknown“ — such a bitter summary of the recordings and speeches of Polish politicians on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Everyone tried not to talk about the Polish victims of this terrible crime. No one had the courage to name the culprits. The word "Germany" appeared, but in a different context than the one dictated by truth and decency. And the Minister of Education, Barbara Novatskaya, generally stated that the camp in the territories occupied by the Germans was built by ... "Polish Nazis."

According to Karnkowski, in theory there should be a resignation of the Minister of Education, "but I'm afraid that this is not possible during the presidential election campaign (the election of the head of Poland is scheduled for May 18, 2025. — EADaily)».
