The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan has published a preliminary report on the investigation of the crash of the Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging to AZAL near Aktau Airport. As noted in the message, the investigation of the crash was conducted by Kazakhstan with the participation of representatives of Azerbaijan at all stages. EADaily cites the conclusions published by the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan, unchanged:
"1. Embraer 190-100 IGW passenger aircraft, registered under the number 4K-AZ65 and owned by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), operating a regular flight J2−8243 from Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan to Grozny, Russian Federation, from the start of the flight on the route section to Grozny was in a fully airworthy condition. These data on the airworthiness of the aircraft, including the operation of its control systems, were confirmed using FDR data;
2. Both engines of the aircraft worked without technical problems until the moment of the accident. This information is also confirmed by the FDR data;
3. During the flight in the airspace of the Russian Federation, including over Grozny airport, the aircraft lost GPS signals;
4. Due to adverse weather conditions over Grozny, the plane was unable to make a second approach, after which the captain decided to return to Baku. After this decision was made over Grozny, two external sounds were recorded in the CVR with an interval of 24 seconds;
5. Comparison of CVR and FDR data showed that 4 seconds after the first external sound, the 3rd hydraulic system failed, 6 seconds later - the 1st hydraulic system, and 21 seconds later — the 2nd hydraulic system;
6. Numerous deaf and through damage in the fuselage was detected, recorded through photographs and video recordings. These damages were found in the rear of the fuselage, the vast majority of which were on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, as well as the left wing and the left engine;
7. Information is provided that the detected damage in the fuselage of the aircraft was formed as a result of exposure to external objects. The preliminary report does not contain information on the existence of any facts indicating a collision of an aircraft with birds;
8. Foreign objects found in the deaf damage to the fuselage that do not belong to the aircraft have been removed; their photographs are presented to the public in the text of the preliminary report. In order to accurately determine the ownership of the detected foreign objects, additional examinations are planned in the future.;
9. At 05:13:32, the aircraft's main control systems failed; at 05:21:42, the interaction controller reported to Grozny about the operation "Carpet";
10. No information is indicated containing the fact of an explosion of an oxygen cylinder."
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan also published preliminary results of the investigation into the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane that crashed on December 25 near Aktau. The document clarifies that the investigation conducted within the framework of the report "does not imply the establishment of a share of anyone's guilt or responsibility."
"The information presented in this report is preliminary and can be clarified and supplemented based on the results of research and study of all materials. After the completion of the work, a final report will be prepared on the results of the investigation of the accident," the document says.
According to the report, a lot of through and through damage of various sizes and shapes was revealed in the tail section of the fuselage, keel and stabilizer, elevators and rudders. Similar damage was found on the left engine and the left wing of the aircraft, as well as on the units and components of the aircraft. In some places, the damage has a rectangular shape.
