The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan has published preliminary results of the investigation into the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane that crashed on December 25 near Aktau. This is reported by Tengrinews.kz .

The document clarifies that the investigation conducted within the framework of the report "does not imply the establishment of a share of anyone's guilt or responsibility."

"The information presented in this report is preliminary and can be clarified and supplemented based on the results of research and study of all materials. After the completion of the work, a final report will be prepared on the results of the investigation of the accident, " the document says.

According to the report, a lot of through and through damage of various sizes and shapes was revealed in the tail section of the fuselage, keel and stabilizer, elevators and rudders. Similar damage was found on the left engine and the left wing of the aircraft, as well as on the units and components of the aircraft. In some places, the damage has a rectangular shape, the agency reports.

According to him, the first problems of the crew arose at 05.13.31 — there was a blow and the audible alarm of the autopilot shutdown went off.

"The pressure in the 3rd hydraulic system dropped instantly. The fluid level in the 3rd hydraulic system dropped to 0%. The position of the control rudders (ELEVATOR, AILERON, RUDDER) were fixed in the zero position and remained in it until the end of the flight," the agency writes.

It is noted that the preserved fragments have a lot of through and through damage of various sizes and shapes in the tail section of the fuselage, on the left engine and the left wing. Due to the damage sustained in the aircraft, loss of hydraulic fluid and pressure drop in the hydraulics could begin. At the time of the crash, both GPS did not work on the liner — they did not receive signals from satellites. According to the transcript of the negotiations, the pilots of the vessel themselves decided to fly to Aktau, as previously reported. During the flight, the systems recorded a sonic boom, its origin is unknown, after a few seconds the cockpit began to depressurize. A few seconds after the first impact, one of the pilots said: "2 seats exploded, I... mmm... I can't come up because the passengers got up, I'm seating them." A few seconds later, a second sonic boom followed.

At 05.26.58 negotiations between the crew and Grozny stop, at 05.29.24 negotiations with the Rostov tower begin. At 05.42.40, a decision is made to fly to Aktau due to favorable weather. At 06.02.47, the crew of the aircraft contacts the tower of Aktau airport. For the first time it transmits an international distress signal. At 06.22.24, the crew started releasing the landing gear, at 06.27.58, an aircraft collided with the ground with a roll to the right of 35 degrees.
