China-US trade war: Beijing makes a retaliatory move

The Tariff and Classification Committee of the State Council of the People's Republic of China announced the introduction of duties in the amount of 15% on American coal and liquefied natural gas. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

As stated in the statement, additional duties on some goods imported from the United States will be effective from February 10.

According to the agency, a tariff of 15% is being introduced for coal and liquefied natural gas. Duties of 10% will also be applied to crude oil, agricultural machinery, large-displacement vehicles and pickups.

On February 1, US President Donald Trump signed a decree imposing customs duties on the supply of goods from Canada, China and Mexico.
