US President Donald Trump is in no hurry to discuss trade duties with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He stated this during a conversation with journalists at the White House, TASS reports.
According to him, the conversation with the Chinese leader will take place at "the right time."
"I'm not in a hurry," Trump said.
He did not deny that after a conversation with the leader of the PRC, he could freeze the previously imposed duties on Chinese goods, as happened with duties on goods from Canada and Mexico.
"We'll see how it comes out," Trump said about this.
On Tuesday, the American president said that his conversation with the Chinese leader could take place in the next 48 hours.
On February 1, the head of the White House signed a decree on the introduction of customs duties on the supply of goods from Canada, China and Mexico.
On February 4, China announced the introduction of retaliatory measures against American products.
