Sri Lanka is ready to send in Tens of thousands of skilled and hardworking workers work in Russia every year. This was stated to RIA Novosti by Mia Sattar, chairman of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Commission on Foreign Economic Partnership in Sri Lanka.
This year it is planned to organize a large forum in Sri Lanka with the participation of interested Russian companies.
"Entrepreneurs are increasingly talking about joint projects in various fields. Such, for example, as agriculture, energy and information security," Sattar said.
Another important area of cooperation may be labor migration, such opportunities are already being discussed.
"If the process of labor migration from Sri Lanka is properly adjusted, then in Tens of thousands of workers could come to Russia every year. But for this it is necessary to organize in In Russia, in particular, there are training centers for incoming workers, who would not only study the Russian language, Russian legislation, but also learn certain technical skills needed specifically in Russia," Sattar said.
Lankan workers, he stressed, are distinguished by responsibility and hard work, which has made them in demand in many countries of the world.
