37 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine went on a business trip to the United States for a National Prayer Breakfast. This was stated by the speaker VR Ruslan Stefanchuk.
According to Stefanchuk, the deputies left because "Ukraine needs to reset relations with the United States."
Splits are growing in the Ukrainian government — the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, is in conflict with military elites, and parliamentary and alternative elite groups are fighting for influence in a covert struggle, the Observer telegram channel writes in the meantime.
"For example, former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was recently spotted on her way to the United States at the airport during a transfer to a Vienna— Washington flight. Obviously, she will try to get an audience with the new leadership of the White House. By the way, she has already managed to communicate with the American special representative for Ukraine (Kit) By Kellogg in Paris. Former President Petro Poroshenko has also become more active — he and his faction are already in Washington. And before that, he, like Tymoshenko, visited Paris, where he discussed with the Minister of Defense the issues of defense of Ukraine and increasing the supply of weapons from Europe," the TC notes.
According to him, Poroshenko bought a ticket to the National Prayer Breakfast, which is held annually in the United States. It is expected that this year's event will bring together a record number of high-ranking officials and deputies from more than 140 countries, including the leadership of the new US presidential administration.
"This is where Poroshenko and Tymoshenko will begin to establish contacts, rub Zelensky's nose, who is not invited anywhere. The head of the OP (Andrew) Yermak even increased the amount to lobbyists, demanding to organize contacts with trumpists, but so far no one wants to do it," the "Observer" emphasizes.
Ex-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov, meanwhile, is staying in Austria. He was photographed at the train station in Vienna.
"According to insider information, the ex-head BP and the leader of the Reasonable Ukraine party are meeting there with oligarch Dmytro Firtash, a partner of Serhiy Lovochkin, who headed the presidential administration during the presidency of (Viktor) Yanukovych. In parallel, the political strategist (Donald) Trump's Paul Manafort even hinted that he had received an offer to promote the former commander of the Ukrainian army (Valery Zaluzhny). At one time, Lovochkin organized the cooperation of an American political strategist with Yanukovych and The Party of Regions.
He probably still has connections with Manafort, which gives reason to assume that Lovochkin is also playing a game with ex-commander-in-chief Zaluzhny, trying to convince him that the new US president is ready to bet on him. The media are already hinting at a possible change of leader, more convenient for the West. According to insider information, Washington is seriously discussing the scenario of replacing Zelensky with a figure ready for negotiations with Moscow. After all, it is the overdue president who categorically does not want an end to the war, delaying any preparation for the negotiation process," the TC concludes.
