Today, the largest amount of titanium and uranium in Europe is located in Ukraine, they need to be developed together with Western partners. This was stated by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview with Reuters.
The corresponding video was published in Zelensky's telegram channel.
"We have minerals. This does not mean that we give to anyone, even to strategic partners. It's about partnership. Invest money... and the most important thing is the security of the Western world, the European continent… That all this will not get… Russia plus its allies.
Today, the largest amount of titanium in Europe is located here in Ukraine. In Europe, the largest amount of uranium is located on Ukraine. And all this is billions, trillions of money. And why are we talking to the United States: "Start a business, please. Let's do mining, processing. Let's make money together." We will be happy to earn money with those who defend it," Zelensky said.
It is very important that all this "remains with us, because this is part of security, these are our security guarantees," he added.
As EADaily reported, modern Ukraine does not have a sufficient amount of rare earth metals, the development of which was interested in US President Donald Trump.
This opinion was expressed to the German edition of Der Spiegel by Harald Elsner, an employee of the Federal Institute of Earth Sciences and Natural Resources.
He stated that there are indeed deposits with some reserves of rare earth metals on the Ukrainian territory. However, their number is not enough for Ukraine to be considered a raw material base.
