Russian drone operators for the first time used a satellite-controlled UAV in the SMO zone

Russian servicemen from the Yug group carried out the first combat use of a heavy drone-bomber with satellite control in the zone of a special military operation (SMO).

As the Telegram channel "Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring" reports, the attack occurred during the advance of our troops after the capture of the Dachnoye settlement in the DPR.

It is reported that the heavy attack drone-bomber has a payload capacity of up to 35 kg, its control is carried out via satellite communication.

When first used, our new drone flew 16 kilometers and attacked the enemy's dugout by dropping 4.5-kilogram ammunition, after which it returned home. Russian fighters dubbed the novelty "Cuckoo".

As EADaily reported, the Dachnoye settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic was liberated by Russian troops on February 14.
