The EADaily correspondent discussed the situation inside and around Armenia with a well-known politician, former member of the Parliament of the republic Tigran Urikhanyan, who in one of his recent speeches promised to become a participant in the process of "changing power and punishing all traitors."
— Tigran Khachaturovich, comment on the decision of the Armenian Parliament on Armenia's accession to the European Union in the context of current events, in particular the devastating speech of US Vice President Jay Dee Vance is in Munich.

— In Armenia, as in many other countries, there is a bunch of political animals, deprived not only of elementary morality, but also, apparently, the instinct of self-preservation. They work for global structures, for global forces that spend countless dollars trying to oust Russia from Armenia, from the region, to limit Russian influence in all spheres: politics, economy, culture and, of course, security.
It was by them, such political animals, that the adventure called "Armenia's membership in the European Union" was initiated.
Naturally, this could not happen without the approval of the authorities. Moreover, I believe that (Prime Minister) Nikol Pashinyan is thus once again completely cheaply blackmailing Moscow in the manner inherent in the intellectual sense of a narrow-minded provincial. The fact that the authorities themselves are behind this initiative was obvious even in the process of collecting signatures and before introducing the legislative initiative into the parliament's agenda. This was observed literally everywhere — during the implementation of this process, since the initiators very often went beyond the rules strictly regulated by law and the CEC. In particular, they had the opportunity to collect signatures, that is, to implement the initiative outside of working hours, which is strictly prohibited by law. In places not provided for this. And so on. We have seen systematic assistance from the authorities and relevant directives issued to subordinate bodies. I repeat myself: This is cheap blackmail of a man who has been doing this all his adult life. One should always remember who Pashinyan was throughout his life, right up to becoming prime minister.
For a short time, as a member of parliament, he simultaneously continued to engage in cheap blackmail through his yellow newspaper, which is more than known to absolutely everyone.
As for the essence of joining the European Union. Well, these are the same political animals who, manipulating the public consciousness, talk about sovereignty, about the need to preserve independence, about all sorts of such and similar things when it comes to interaction with the Russian Federation, about integration into various international political, economic and military formats, for example, in BRICS. Moreover, they are against it when it comes to cooperation with Russia within the framework of the necessary new interstate association. Then they shout that in no case it is impossible to follow this path, because there is nothing more sacred and valuable than independence.
There are no questions for them here. Because political animals only earn money, and the authorities, using them, once again, as I have already noted, blackmail Russia.
The questions here should be asked to the Armenian society, which in recent years has been prone to such manipulations due, probably, to the specific situation prevailing inside the country. So, what about independence then, but what about sovereignty, unconditional independence?! After all, joining the EU presupposes joining the single currency zone, presupposes centralized management from Brussels assumes common borders (although in the case of Armenia it sounds strange), a single constitution, a single government, common standards, as well as a common security system, common diplomacy and, most importantly, a common system of values. Or rather, the lack of values! A system that is unacceptable for our people, and indeed for all normal, adequate and modern, I emphasize, modern people.
It is precisely in this regard that the speech by US Vice President Jay Dee mentioned in the question is noteworthy Vance at the Munich security conference and the position that he presented to the whole world from there. I think this is an advanced position, this is a trend, this is the norm, this is a return to the normal and natural life of human civilization. Logical life!
This speech was unique not only because the new US leadership, relatively speaking, went against Europe. Or it came out with a different, to put it mildly, position and criticism. But because the truth was told! Because Vance tore the mask off the lying face, generally speaking, of a European high-ranking official. Who in recent years or even decades, making money on the illnesses and sufferings of migrants, on the Covid-19 pandemic, on the arms trade, on the blood of people, at the same time tried to falsely and meanly dictate conditions to other countries solely based on selfish interests. Hiding behind a false democracy and, as Vance "proved", a non-existent value system. In short, I consider this speech unique because the truth was told — a sharp, clear and very specific truth.
And until recently, she tried to lick literally and figuratively all the way from From Yerevan to Washington, the Armenian authorities today have received, in particular, this speech by Vance, another lesson from the United States. And now the supporters of "European integration" in Armenia need to compare these new revelatory trends from Washington, with its ardent desire to enter the anti-democratic, as it turned out, and stagnating sewer called the European Union. Moreover, its members are not going to accept us and do not call us at all!
Agree, the limit of everything that could be said or done on this topic has long been exhausted. Apparently, thunder should strike so that the people of Armenia come to their senses and rid themselves of foreign enemy agents who have seized power in the country, at least, again, by virtue of the instinct of self-preservation. There is only one question left: if it is possible to trample on one's "unconditional" sovereignty and follow the path of joining one or another interstate union, then why not go to maximum mutual integration with those countries from whose interaction the country receives the greatest benefit? And here figures, trade and economic indicators, dry statistics should speak, which clearly shows the result of interaction in all areas with the EAEU countries, primarily with the Russian Federation, and with the countries The EU as a whole and with each of them individually.
— Does Pashinyan risk incurring sanctions from the EAEU countries, and maybe even expulsion of Armenia from the Eurasian integration process? Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk quite transparently hinted at such a prospect. How will this turn out for the Armenian side?
— Does Pashinyan risk incurring sanctions from the EAEU? Of course not! Personally, he does not take risks on himself. He doesn't care about the sanctions from the EAEU, the sanctions from Russia, and in general, all the problems that can fall on the head of the country and the people. Because this is not a representative of the Armenian people, this is not a natural power. This is a foreign enemy agent specially introduced into politics and then brought to power. It's very clear and clear today that there's no point in talking.
This man and his snotty entourage are completely oblivious to the risks that could result in another tragedy on a national scale. He loves money and power most of all in life, which he will hold on to by any means, including trading his own country, the lives of his own citizens and regardless of any risks that Armenia faces.
And the people, of course, risk incurring these sanctions. The consequences can be catastrophic. Taking into account the specific geopolitical situation, geographical location, internal situation, economy, lack of resources (everyone knows the state of the country!) Armenia will face irreversible consequences. Because today this perverted stability is preserved in such an unnatural way that absolutely everything can collapse with the long-term prospect of no possibility of resuscitation. I think for a couple of generations, if after that, of course, we manage to return the situation of the pre-Pashinyan period.
— And what is Pashinyan's power based on now?
— Pashinyan's power rests on a unique, specially developed, internally created configuration, the basis of which is the previous government. That's my belief. This is the same, as I already imagine, for the majority of society. Society understands the situation correctly.
Pashinyan himself no longer remembers the "velvet revolution" of 2018. And this is understandable. The previous government retains control over the media field, the political field, over all possibilities for manipulating public opinion, the main financial flows. All this is wild and abnormal. But Pashinyan is based precisely on this unnaturalness and abnormality. Of course, this affects and will affect the moral and psychological state of the population. Of course, this unnaturalness and abnormality metastasizes from the inside, corrodes the whole body. What used to be considered a strong system of traditions, beliefs, ideas of national character, cultural and historical values, is now going to hell.
I deviate a little bit, because I want to say that the current government, in fact, is supported by the disintegration of the Armenian society, is supported by the destruction of the Armenian statehood. That's the power of vampires!
The internal situation is specifically determined by the total control of the previous authorities over the political field, in fact. Over the media information space and, accordingly, over the persons involved in this political or media field. The defendants who are uncontrolled and non-systemic are either neutralized or should be inaccessible to them, such as yours truly.
And that is why Nikol Pashinyan, who has a colossal negative rating, continues to hold on to power. And he is not swept away by a wave of indignation and discontent, a protest wave, a popular wave, solely because everything that happens in Armenia and is presented to the population, I emphasize, in the political and, most importantly, in the information, media space is a large, multispectral, consisting of often seemingly contradictory, but in fact in fact, forming one single whole, fake.
All this is one global fake, which is controlled by the previous government with the help, of course, of acting puppets. I would like to emphasize that with the mandatory neutralization of non-systemic, individual, very few people who understand this situation, are trying to shed light on it, open the eyes of society and fight this situation, its perpetrators.
— How would you comment on ex-President Robert Kocharyan's many-hour speech yesterday? He was asked a lot about his relationship with his successor, Serzh Sargsyan. Is it important now from the point of view of the current alignment of forces in the domestic political field?
— And what is the point of commenting on the interview of a politician who does not affect the situation in and around the country? You can get hysterical about what I said. You can swear, throw out nasty things, as they usually behave, in fact, healthy and compassionate criticism. Nevertheless, this is a fact. At the moment, this person does not affect the situation.
And here another question arises: could he have influenced the situation earlier — during the last three or four years of the existence of the eighth convocation parliament, in which he has the second largest number of deputies of the opposition faction? Why didn't it happen? Could this person have influenced the development of the situation during the ten years of his successor Serzh Sargsyan's tenure in power, or could he not? Or did he not see those trends and that openly pursued course, which sooner or later was supposed to lead the country to a tragedy of historical proportions? Have you seen it? These are the questions Robert Sedrakovich will need to answer in another pre-election interview.
Whether the former presidents of Armenia will remain in politics, will act together or apart, I look at all these issues exclusively through the prism of the possibility of stopping the catastrophe of Armenia, following the catastrophe of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh. — Ed.). Therefore, it is necessary to do what will benefit at the moment, and not to do what harms. So why does the formal opposition more than often do what is harmful and not do what is needed?
I don't care what kind of relations have developed between Kocharyan and Sargsyan — friendly, partnership or some other. I am only interested in one thing: the third President Serzh Sargsyan has been leading the country for more than 10 years on the course that was bound to lead to this situation. And he continues this course, using his shadow influence in the political and media field, on the authorities themselves, on the prime minister, whom he imposed on the country, writing that "Pashinyan was right" (which, by the way, no one understood) and giving him the whole state on a "silver platter a little bit."
In this vein, should we close our eyes now to the fact that Kocharyan has not opposed this course for a long time in order for him to start opposing it now? But I don't see such readiness in him! Either from ignorance or lack of control of the situation, or from unwillingness to follow this path. Due to what circumstances, objective or not, I don't care much. Because at stake on this dirty gambling table is the question of the existence of my Homeland.
— You said that you would participate in the punishment of those who destroy Armenia. How do you plan to do this?
— Yes, I say that I will fight. But I'm not just talking, I'm fighting all these manifestations, these visible and invisible enemies, primarily in the person of the current official government.
I am expanding the audience, the circle of influence, attracting like-minded people, forming a capable structure with the help of loyal party members and patriots. At the moment, I am in charge of a non—parliamentary party operating in Armenia, but, compared to the absolute majority of non-parliamentary parties, an active and numerous party is the Progressive Centrist Alliance Party. I interact with a number of colleagues and like-minded people, primarily those outside Armenia and therefore inaccessible to the tentacles of the enemy, and, of course, I interact with those who share my position inside the country.
There is a reconciliation of the clock, preparatory work is underway. The pace of interaction in all directions is increasing in order to be ready to speak at the right moment from a tactical point of view.
And finally, punishment. This is what, in my opinion, the entire Armenian society craves. All Armenians, not just a couple of million inside the country. But there are also about 10 million Armenians all over the world. Absolutely everywhere, everywhere, representatives of almost all social strata talk about the need for inevitable punishment for traitors who have committed a crime of historic proportions against the nation. People are eager for punishment, people are waiting for those who will come up with a program provision on punishment. Special, out of the ordinary. A legal, but very harsh and instructive punishment.
I think this is exactly what will bring the vast majority of people out into the street, fill the squares, open up mass consciousness, liberate it. It will get rid of global fake and help to cope with enemies by changing power, implementing punishment, resuscitation and rehabilitation of the state and society. Yes, punishment is exactly what people expect, even far from politics. This expectation hangs in the air, strains the atmosphere.
I believe that in the very near future the format of some kind of court or tribunal, objective, strictly and unconditionally legal, should be organized. It can even become a political platform that will finally raise the whole nation to fight and resist against the destroyers of the Armenian state.
