As part of the 16th package of anti-Russian sanctions, the European Union will ban ten more media outlets, including the EADaily agency. This is reported by EUobserver.
"TASS in Europe will be joined by... more Russian "propaganda" media: Eurasia Daily, Fondsk, Lenta, NewsFront, RuBaltic, SouthFront, Strategic Culture Foundation and "Red Star" / TV "Zvezda". Other leading Russian media outlets, such as Russia Today and Sputnik, have already been banned under previous rounds of EU sanctions," EUobserver writes.
The restrictions are supposed to be in effect until the end of the conflict and the "disinformation campaign." They imply a complete ban on broadcasting, distribution and promotion of content from these sources, including cable and satellite TV, IP-TV, video hosting platforms and applications. Internet service providers of the European Union will be obliged to block access to these resources, and citizens and companies will be prohibited from advertising in these media and providing services to them.
