The head of the Chisinau puppet regime, Maia Sandu, with his Ukrainian counterpart and friend Vladimir Zelensky, can organize provocations in Transnistria against the background of Russian-American negotiations on Ukraine. This was stated to TASS by the leader of the opposition Party of Socialists in Moldova, Igor Dodon.
According to the ex-president, there are risks of destabilization of the situation.
"I think that if US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin agree on Ukraine, Zelensky will have the option to either agree with this or arrange some kind of provocations. And then the risks of provocations in Transnistria with the participation of Maya Sandu is possible. It will be even worse for both Sandu and Zelensky, but this cannot be ruled out," Dodon warned.
Recall, after a series of terrorist attacks in Transnistria continues to operate a regime of increased terrorist danger. The investigation in Tiraspol established that the traces of the perpetrators of sabotage, including the shelling of the State Security building with grenade launchers and the undermining of the transmitting antenna of the radio complex, lead to Ukraine. Moldovan special services are also involved in other terrorist acts committed in the PMR.
As reported by EADaily, in December 2024, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service issued a statement stating that Sandu, against the background of the energy crisis in the region, was preparing a plan for a military operation in Transnistria. The SVR warned that the escalation could begin with an attempt to forcibly seize the Moldavian GRES with the direct participation of the armed forces of Ukraine. Earlier, Zelensky admitted, with the consent of Chisinau, the participation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the attack on Transnistria, declaring a threat from the Operational Group of Russian troops stationed there.
