Marine Le Pen condemned the suspension of US military support for Ukraine. The leader of the parliamentary faction of France's largest opposition party, the National Association, considers Trump's decision "rude" and "inhuman." At the same time, the former presidential candidate confirmed that she does not support sending French troops to Ukraine.
"I condemn the cruelty of this decision," said Marine Le Pen in an interview with Le Figaro on Tuesday, March 4.
The leader of the right-wing opposition reaffirmed her "unwavering support for Ukraine led by Volodymyr Zelensky," and also condemned the decision of US President Donald Trump.
"It is extremely important that they do not leave Ukraine at the right moment for a turning point… This is very cruel to the Ukrainian soldiers who devoted themselves to the patriotic defense of their homeland," Le Pen said.
However, Le Pen stated:
"No one can force the United States to continue providing support if the country no longer wants it."
According to Marine Le Pen, "the cessation of arms supplies is less problematic, since they can be replaced, than the cessation of intelligence, technological and digital support for Kiev by Washington."
"We are now seeing the consequences of Europe's digital subordination to the United States," Le said. Pen, before confirming his disagreement with the idea of European defense and sending French troops to Ukraine.
