The Armenian authorities are aware of the intention of the US authorities to deport more than 2 thousand Armenians from the country. This was announced on March 4 by the Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zare Sinanyan.

It should be noted that in January, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) published a document according to which about 2,808 Armenian citizens will be deported from the United States as part of Trump's policy against illegal migrants in the country.

"It is wrong to call these people the Diaspora. They are Armenian citizens who do not have the right to stay in the United States. We are talking about the intention to deport more than two thousand Armenian citizens," Sinanyan said at a press conference on Tuesday.

According to him, the real figure may be much higher, "this is just the first batch," there is no data on the number of those already expelled.

It should be noted that these days a story is developing in the USA with the sudden disappearance of the popular Armenian blogger and politician Vardan Ghukasyan nicknamed "Dog", whose political rating is currently the third in Armenia. Later it became clear that the founder and chairman of the MLC party, Vardan Ghukasyan, was detained by US Customs and Migration Service officers and is in custody in Las Vegas (Nevada). He faces deportation.

Ghukasyan has many enemies in Armenia, whom he exposed and insulted daily in his speeches. It is noteworthy that Vardan Ghukasyan has repeatedly stated that he is a citizen of Russia. And he went to the USA from Russia. There have been no comments from Russian official bodies on the fate of Vardan Ghukasyan so far.
