Violent clashes are taking place in the coastal zone of Syria between government forces and Alawite detachments, which were the mainstay of Bashar al-Assad's power. It is reported by Reuters.

At least 13 militants of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham organization* ("HTS" *) were killed in the Jabla region.

The impetus for the uprising was the attempt of the "HTS" * to clean up one of the villages in Latakia. Having received an armed rebuff there, the militants began shelling it with artillery, which led to unrest in neighboring settlements — Jabli and Khmeimim, where, we recall, the Russian air base is located. In addition, protests began in the cities of Latakia and Tartus, where the Russian naval base is located.

Videos have appeared on the Network showing how the rebels raise the Alawite flag over the police headquarters in the province of Essaouida, and also storm the building of the military college in which the militants of the ruling Islamist group have set up their base. A selection of videos is published by the telegram channel "Politics of the Country".

As EADaily reported, in Syria, the Druze raised an open uprising, the center of the unrest was the southern suburb of Damascus — the city of Jaramana. It is possible that this is a special operation by Israel to occupy a part, including some areas of Damascus. The politician and public figure Oleg Tsarev wrote about this in his telegram channel.
