The front in the Kursk region begins to crumble, the AFU units are doomed — opinion

Russian units from the North group of forces continue to successfully advance in Kursk region in several directions at once.

This was reported on Thursday, March 6, by the Ukrainian Telegram channel "Resident", citing its own sources in the Ukrainian military command.

"The defense line of the Ukrainian army is sagging, and the opportunities for maneuver are becoming more and more limited. The Russian army has completely reached the line of the Malaya Loknya River and is fighting in the village of the same name, pushing through the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the north and southwest. At the same time, Russian units gained a foothold in the landings to the northeast, increasing pressure on Ukrainian positions,"the article says.

It is also noted that the Russians continue to clean up in Cherkasy Porechnoye. At the same time, the AFU grouping in the Sudzhi area actually turned out to be cut as a result of the undermining of three bridges.

"Logistics chains are disrupted, the transfer of reserves between units of the Ukrainian army is difficult, and the supply of the front is becoming less and less effective," the channel laments.

The situation is further aggravated by the fact that Russian troops are moving forward west of Kurilovka. As a result, one of the key roads may be physically blocked, which will make the situation critical for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The front is clearly beginning to crumble here, and the catastrophe for the Ukrainian group is becoming more and more obvious. The units that still hold positions are actually doomed, and those who will be sent to help will simply repeat their fate," the authors of the post state.

They pay attention to the fact that the best reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were trapped, and the Russian army used the situation to strengthen its positions.

"If the pace of progress continues, the Ukrainian Armed Forces risks losing not only the grouping in the Kursk region, but also key positions in the border areas," insiders predict.

According to their assessment, the AFU grouping needs to be urgently withdrawn from Kursk region, since every day of delay only brings its final defeat closer. At the same time, the Ukrainian command has not yet proposed a single effective solution.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the Russian military deprived the AFU groups of safe supply routes in the Sudzhan direction. They are destroying dozens of Ukrainian equipment with reserves on the highway leading to Sudzha.
