The South Korean city of Pyongchong was bombed

The South Korean city of Pyongchong was bombed due to an emergency situation that arose during the exercises of the air force of the Army of South Korea. This is reported by Yonhap news agency.

As stated in the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Korea, there was an emergency descent of eight MK-82 aerial bombs from a KF-16 fighter during exercises outside the range. The bombs were dropped around 10.05 local time (04.05 Moscow time). Seven houses were damaged, including the church building. Seven people were injured. Four of them were seriously injured.

"We regret the incident with the damage to residential buildings due to an abnormal descent of shells, we wish the injured a speedy recovery. We intend to take the necessary measures, including those related to compensation for victims," the department said.

An investigation is underway.
