The temperature will remain 10-12 degrees above normal in the Moscow region until the end of the working week, on Thursday the air may warm up to plus 18 degrees, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand told Interfax.
"The temperature in Moscow is very high now. Until the end of the working week — plus 12 — plus 14 degrees, and on Thursday in Moscow to plus 14 — plus 16, and it is possible that in the region even to plus 18 degrees," said Vilfand.
He specified that the "incredibly high temperature" is due to the fact that very warm air enters the center of European Russia from the south, which, due to the lack of snow, including in the south of Russia and in the central chernozem regions, "practically does not transform" and does not cool down. The temperature in Moscow, as Vilfand noted, is 10-12 degrees above normal.
On Wednesday and Thursday it will be cloudy in the Moscow region, light precipitation is forecast.
On Friday, there will be a sharp drop in atmospheric pressure, it will be 15 mm Hg below normal. The temperature will still be high, at night up to plus 8 — plus 10, in the afternoon up to plus 12 — plus 14 degrees. However, during the day in Moscow, "more noticeable" precipitation in the form of rain is predicted, as well as increased wind gusts up to 18 m/s.
