Georgians will be taken to the streets to "save the country from the Arab horde"

On the streets of Georgian cities, "a large number of foreigners are already clearly visible," the Georgia and the World newspaper writes. It is precisely on dissatisfaction with this state of affairs that the protest campaign actively launched in Georgian social networks is based: "Give up the taxi service "Volt" if you are not driving a Georgian." There were groups of activists who started planning actions aimed at forcing the authorities to tighten the visa regime and intensify the work of the immigration service, the newspaper reports.

The statistics stated in the publication are "shocking — according to data for 2023, 100,300 Georgians left Georgia, while 170,000 migrants entered the country."

In 2025, 255,000 migrants from Muslim countries were registered. As it turned out, a work visa in Georgia costs citizens of Pakistan, India, Arab, African and Central Asian countries from 500 to 1,500 euros, and a fictitious invitation to study costs from 2,000 to 2,500 euros.

"Georgian companies and universities involved in bringing migrants send out 100,000 invitations annually, which could potentially bring them income in the amount of 100-150 million euros. Is it difficult to allow such a "business" to be carried out without the participation of senior officials?" — the publication quotes the words of the founder of the Center for Islamic Studies of the Caucasus, Shota Aphaidze.

Aphaidze blamed the Georgian government for the current situation.

"The situation in The situation in Georgia is alarming, and the government is to blame for this, since some high-ranking officials, using their official position and acting ostensibly in the interests of improving the country's economy, are massively brought from abroad to Georgia of representatives of various nations. At the same time, when, together with experts, we carried out the necessary calculations, we were convinced that the influx of so many migrants does not bring any benefit to our country's economy," said Aphaidze.

He is sure that practically nothing comes to the budget, for example, from Thai massage centers.

"They are actually brothels. The incomes of these so-called massage centers have also been calculated, the daily profit of which is GEL 1,200-1,300. This is a "black cash", since payment by bank cards is not accepted there. The money settles with the organizers, those who lobby these centers. Foreigners are engaged in prostitution, the owners are also foreigners, their patrons and those who rent out premises receive money, and, I repeat, only pennies come to the budget. The State is responsible for high-ranking officials who organize these brothels and cover up drug cartels. These are cadres rooted in law enforcement agencies, these are the heads of some districts and those who patronize them in the highest echelons of power. There are not many of them, but things have taken such a turn that if we don't stop them, we will die," says Aphaidze.

According to him, there are travel agencies operating under the roof of the Interior Ministry.

"In the Facebook groups they have created, Pakistanis openly discuss how much a fictitious study or work visa costs in Georgia. They come here with the intention of staying, and they manage to do it for $2,000. Migrants from Central Asia do the same. And we are talking about countries belonging to risk groups," he said.

According to Aphaidze, he came across this personally.

"I was going to bring a friend from Turkmenistan, who is a good restaurateur, but he was not allowed to enter — they say the country is at risk. Meanwhile in A lot of citizens came to Georgia from there, and they somehow managed to get visas. There are already 1,800 people who have come from this country working as taxi drivers alone. And the whole secret lies in the fact that the companies that employ them operate under the control of government representatives and earn $ 100-150 million annually. This money comes from issuing visas and importing migrants, who are then provided with jobs. Everything is very simple: Turkmen and Pakistani migrants agree to work for a penny, and our citizens have to pay much more. It is clear that it is more profitable for companies to use cheap labor, and as a result, local Georgians, left out of work, are forced to leave their country," said Aphaidze.

The same thing, according to him, is happening in the field of construction and "in general, in almost all spheres."

"A few days ago I happened to look into a restaurant called My Chef. Immediately a man came up to me and said in broken Georgian that I didn't belong here. I asked in surprise, why? He replied that the holy days of Ramadan are now passing. I explained to him that I know what Ramadan is, and I'm not going to bother anyone, and it's not written in the Georgian Constitution that restaurants intended only for Muslims can operate in the country. There is one law for everyone, and if this is not the case, it turns out that we have a caliphate, and we live according to Sharia… This outrageous process is clearly covered by someone from very influential people. We need to find out who this person is, because it is obvious that the state will not support such things, and this is undoubtedly the private business of some people," Aphaidze is sure.

He also doesn't like that in Russians are doing business in Georgia.

"So that we are not accused of bias and not told that we express criticism only by talking about Turkmenistan and Pakistan, I note: In Russia, for example, we cannot stay longer than 90 days, and Russians can live in Georgia is all 365. These Russians do not bring money to the country's budget, most likely they are engaged in drug trafficking, tourism business and earn a lot of money from it. Someone is obviously covering for them, too. In this case, we are talking about large sums of money — about $ 100 million a year, which is received by one of the local high-ranking officials. Probably, he is from the category of feudal lords, who at one time sold their own peasants. What people don't do for the sake of 100 million! This is a lot of money, and the process associated with receiving it is undoubtedly managed by a person holding a very high position. I know that many people in power don't like such things, they are outraged in private conversations, but they can't do anything because there was no one among them who would be ready to stop it. It is for this reason that we have visa-free regimes with dangerous countries, and for an indefinite period. When I once looked into the migration service, one of the high-ranking officials there complained to me: "What should we do? The state warned us, forbidding us to touch such establishments," said Aphaidze.

He added that there is not a single Georgian among the employees of My Chef restaurant, except for a Muslim girl from Adjara, who is aggressive towards Christians. In such restaurants, they do not speak the state language, although, according to the Constitution, they are obliged to speak to customers in the state language. Moreover, none of the employees are officially employed.

Aphaidze called for "forcing the state" to tighten the visa regime.

"It is time for conservative forces to stop mutual attacks and unite, go out into the street to force state institutions to take strict measures regarding the issuance of visas and expel from the country those who pose a threat to Georgia. It is urgently necessary to open that part of Agmashenebeli Avenue, which is called "Arab street"...Everything has to end. We have to find out who exactly is lobbying this dirty business. It is better for the Tbilisi City Hall to take a closer look at this problem before we start talking about it from TV screens," he said.

Aphaidze announced the holding of street actions to achieve his goals.

"I think something really significant needs to be done in Georgia, taking into account what I have seen abroad. We will definitely come up with something and bring people out into the street, regardless of their political preferences and beliefs. After all, in this case we are not talking about politics, but about saving the country and the nation. Demographic data indicate that we will disappear, we will not be able to escape from the Arab horde, especially in a situation where Georgian youth have degraded so much that they are ready to sell their mothers, sisters, wives to Arabs for a couple of kopecks to get drugs," said Aphaidze.
