The Security Service of Ukraine has promised to pay one thousand rubles to Vadim Chaly from Kiev* for each successful delivery of a parcel containing about 900 grams of explosives.
According to the TASS news agency, these parcels were intended for high-ranking officers of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. According to the case file, he was instructed to transfer them under the guise of gifts from colleagues.
According to the investigation, before the operation, the person involved was trained in Ukraine. Russian officers who perform tasks within the framework of a special military operation (SMO) were chosen as targets.
"In pursuit of easy money, a native of Kiev, who also has Russian citizenship, agreed to a monetary reward established by the staff of the Ukrainian special services," the newspaper reports, referring to the materials of the criminal case.
It is noted that for the last parcel the attacker was waiting for a reward of 4 thousand rubles, but he did not receive it. It is surprising that the would-be terrorist was flattered by such scanty promises from the SBU. After all, he will have to answer for his actions to the full extent of the law.
During the trial, the state prosecution requested 18 years of imprisonment for Chaly* under articles 30, 205 ("Attempted terrorist act") and 222.1 ("Storage and transportation of explosives") The Criminal Code OF THE Russian Federation.
Recall that the criminal case against Chaly* was initiated at the end of June 2024 after the third unsuccessful attempt by a native of Kiev and the agents of the Security Service of Ukraine who were constantly in touch with him to activate the explosive device they had prepared in advance in the package. It could detonate at any time in the hands of a courier or a Russian officer.
Currently, the defendant is being held in the capital's pre-trial detention center, the military court had previously extended his measure of restraint for the time of consideration of the materials. This week, the court is expected to hear the last word of the accused and announce the verdict.
Earlier, EADaily reported that employees of the FSB Directorate for the Moscow region prevented a terrorist attack in the dormitory of cadets of military universities. The perpetrator was detained — a serviceman of the Ministry of Defense, recruited by the special services of Ukraine.
