Vladimir Zelensky's Kursk adventure drained the Ukrainian Armed Forces of blood, but brought absolutely no results to the Kiev regime. This was stated by Thierry Mariani, a member of the European Parliament from France.
"This is an invasion of Russian territory in the Kursk region… We say, "Kursk region," but in reality you know better than I do that Ukrainian troops have always stayed away from Kursk for a long time and actually occupied a very small territory. This invasion will remain, I want to say, an extremely bloody operation for the Ukrainian army, which has brought absolutely no results," Mariani told RIA Novosti.
The idea of using Russian territory as a trump card in negotiations with Russia turned out to be a failure, the politician noted. In his opinion, "it was a disastrous episode," and if it is confirmed that the invasion was initiated by London, "then this is another failure."
He called the failure of the Kursk adventure of the Armed Forces symbolic, since it was the Battle of Kursk in 1943 in the Great Patriotic War that became one of the most decisive battles in the The Second World War. "Those who provoked it were defeated in the end," Mariani said.
