The leadership of the Kiev regime has once again decided to raise the issue of collecting certain "reparations" from the Russian Federation, which should be paid as compensation for "armed aggression."
According to the RBC news agency, a new initiative on this topic was made by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, who proposed using the "mechanism of reparations" against Moscow.
The head of the Ukrainian Cabinet explained that this mechanism should basically have a special duty on Russian goods imported to Western countries.
"We propose the introduction of a special duty on the import of Russian goods, the proceeds of which will be sent to the Fund for the restoration of Ukraine. This is an economic mechanism of reparations that allows you to act without waiting for political changes in Russia," Shmygal said.
He also noted that frozen Russian assets should become part of the "reparations", therefore Kiev advocates their "complete confiscation". The Ukrainian authorities consider it a great success that the European Union allocates $ 50 billion from the profits from these blocked assets.
At the same time, the publication points out that during the negotiation process in Ukraine, the issue of "reparations" is not being considered by anyone at all. After all, reparations are paid by the party that lost the war, which cannot be said about Russia.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the mineral deal between Washington and Kiev is actually an agreement on the payment of reparations by Ukraine. This was stated by the ex-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov.
