Even a gay man was embarrassed: the French sports minister, who was "passionate" about the Games, publicly could not restrain herself

Photos of Sports Minister Amelie Udea-Caster, very casually kissing President Emmanuel Macron's neck at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games last Saturday, caused a stir in France, the British newspaper The Telegraph noted on the eve of July 30.

Even Gabriel Attal, the country's prime minister and openly gay, embarrassingly looks the other way when 46-year-old Udea-Caster hugs the 46-year-old French leader and gives him a hot kiss.

"Attal doesn't know where to look," said one of the commentators of the "incident".

The behavior of Udea-Caster, who was clearly overwhelmed by her emotions at the opening ceremony of the Games at that moment, caused controversies in the French media and social networks no less heated than her "rush" in public.

Madame Figaro magazine, one of the first to draw attention to the photo, called it a "curious kiss" and noted that the minister "definitely knows how to get people talking about her."

The newspaper Midi Libre, in turn, wrote:

"After the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, the tension subsided, giving way to euphoria. In a burst of joy, Sports Minister Amelie Udea-Caster and President Emmanuel Macron kissed. The kiss caused quite a stir."

Some commentators were much more critical.

"I consider this photo indecent, it is not worthy of the president and the minister," one of the users wrote on social networks.

There were also those who recalled other "candid" photos in which Mrs. Minister kisses athletes in a similar manner, and said that she was "just passionate about the Games."

The additional piquancy of the situation was given by the presence on the government rostrum at the time of the "incident" by the wife of the owner of the Elysee Palace, Brigitte Macron. She is as much as 25 years older than her "abuser".
