The chairman of the Stability Party faction in the Latvian parliament, Alexei Roslikov, ridiculed local Russophobic nationalists for not fighting Russian enough.
Speaking from the rostrum of the Seimas, the deputy took out a banknote with a face value of 5 euros from his pocket and drew attention to the fact that the ticket has an inscription in Cyrillic.
"If we are going in the European direction, then I suggest you look at the European banknote. For example, here, on five euros, "Euro" is written in Russian. I think it would be good if the gentlemen [from the "National Bloc"] showed activity in the European Parliament. It would also be good to condemn the whole of Europe for still allowing its currency to handle such letters," Alexei Roslikov mocked the Latvian Nazis.
However, the deputy admitted that the nationalists of the "Great Latvia" had not even seen such a small bill, since "your purchases are calculated in euros with six zeros."
Earlier, EADaily reported that after the monstrous terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, only one deputy Roslikov called on colleagues from the Latvian Seimas to condemn the crime, as well as to express condolences to the families of the injured and the dead. Latvians were ignored in parliament.
