The West broke its teeth on Russia — Die Welt

The West sees that its policy towards Ukraine is not successful, that they have broken their teeth. This was stated in a report from Kiev correspondent of Die Welt Christoph Wanner.

This is how he commented on the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

"The disappointment here in Kiev is great, because it is noticeable that more and more Western politicians are ready to talk to Putin again, that he can shake hands again and that an agreement on the further course of the conflict can be made without the participation of the Ukrainian government. And Ukrainians are terribly afraid of this.

This [call] was a gift for the Russian state media, a gift for the Kremlin, now Putin can say: "Look, they are calling us, they want to talk to us." The West sees that its policy is not successful, that they have broken their teeth," said Wanner, quoted by the Chancellor's Daddy telegram channel.

"Toothless West, then. And that's good. Let's take a note," TK comments on the picture of the day.

As EADaily reported, at the initiative of the German side, the first telephone conversation between the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz took place since December 2022. This was reported on the official website of the Kremlin.
