In the Tver region, the bodies of four children under the age of eight were found in a private house of the Mezhurka SNT. According to the preliminary version, their own father killed them.

According to local sources, the tragedy took place on the night of December 28, when the children were sleeping in their house. The mother was on the second floor and woke up from the noise. Going downstairs, she found a terrible picture — the children were already dead, and their father was trying to inflict a mortal wound on himself.

At the moment, the father of the family, a 37-year-old native of Tajikistan, is in the hospital. Doctors are fighting for his life, and investigators are trying to restore the picture of what happened.

Yevgeny Denisov, Deputy Prosecutor of the Tver Region, went to the place to monitor the investigation. And the prosecutor of the Kalininsky district, Yevgeny Kuzin, is already at the scene to coordinate the work of law enforcement agencies. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

So far, no official versions have been announced, but according to neighbors, the family seemed to be well. The man lived with his wife, children and his brother.

However, about three days before the tragedy, the father of the family began to show inappropriate behavior. There are suggestions that the motive for the crime was that the man allegedly doubted paternity and suspected his wife of infidelity.

Meanwhile, the Investigative Committee of the Tver region confirmed the initiation of a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a", "b", part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder of two or more persons).

An investigation team is working at the scene of the tragedy, which is restoring all the details of the tragedy.
