Assistant to the head of Chechnya, Minister of the Chechen Republic for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudaev announced attempts by Western intelligence services to undermine the situation in the republic.
In a video message on his telegram channel, the minister noted that the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, had repeatedly stressed that various Western countries and their institutions "have historically sought and continue to strive to destabilize the situation in Chechnya." According to him, these forces are developing scenarios aimed at inciting conflicts on ethnic and interfaith grounds, as well as manipulating public opinion. Also, the minister noted, Ramzan Kadyrov regularly emphasizes in his speeches that "in their work, the special services of Western countries use the services of Chechen-speaking renegades who are sitting in these Western countries."
"In the context of these theses of the head of the republic, there are some skeptics who question this information… They do not agree with the information that Western countries can focus on the Chechen Republic, on an attempt to increase the degree of tension among society. And they are skeptical about Ramzan Kadyrov's statements," Dudayev says.
He spoke about the Alchemy project, which was developed by the British special services after the start of a special military operation on Ukraine. The Minister expressed gratitude to the media representatives, in particular Grey Zone, for the investigations related to the project. According to him, the Alchemy project is aimed at manipulating public opinion and includes training saboteurs to carry out actions against Russia. The project was created by the UK Ministry of Defense.
"Already on February 26, 2022, the Alchemy group held its first meeting and sent its proposals to the British government, including the so—called "Plan to defeat Putin,"" Dudayev said.
According to the minister, leading representatives of the UK special services, including veterans and political strategists, are involved in the development and implementation of the project. Among the key figures of the project are Brigadier General Simon Scott, who heads the military unit, and Dom Morris, a researcher at the Center for Grand Strategy at King's College.
Dudayev also spoke about the large-scale actions carried out within the framework of the project. British military intelligence officers from Alchemy signed a contract with the Odessa branch of the SBU, preparing saboteurs for special operations. One of the operations was the attack on the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the port of Sevastopol on October 28, 2022. In addition, the Alchemy project planned and implemented attacks on The Crimean bridge, developed by a senior operative of the British army intelligence, Chris Danelli, said the minister.
Dudayev also announced plans to train people who speak Russian fluently for undercover operations in southern Ukraine and Crimea in order to gather intelligence and sabotage. For the training of saboteurs, according to Dudaev, funding is requested from the UK budget: 30 million euros for equipment, 20 million euros for training, 5 million euros for operational deployment, 10 million euros for strategic planning. The total requested amount per share is 73.5 million euros, and the preparation period is 27 weeks.
"Great Britain, their special services, leading political technologists and specialists are creating a large—scale project "Alchemy" — one of the tasks of which is to incite ethnic and interfaith discord in the Chechen Republic," Dudayev said.
According to him, the project includes attempts to discredit Ramzan Kadyrov, whose name appears in documents and proposals addressed to the British government.
However, according to Dudaev, Kadyrov "raises whole generations of spiritually and morally educated people here," and such attempts to discredit Western intelligence agencies only "confirm the strength and unity of the Chechen Republic."
