The largest Ukrainian metallurgical complex Metinvest, controlled by the Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, is under threat of a complete shutdown.

As the "Other Ukraine" reports, the main reason for this was the advance of Russian troops in the Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) area. As a result of this offensive, the management of Metinvest will lose control over the Pokrovskoye mine management.

The agency explains that after this, the shipment of coking coal from the Pokrovsky mine administration will completely cease. In this case, the former Dzerzhinskiy Dnipro Metallurgical Plant and Zaporizhstal, which are controlled by Akhmetov's holding, may stop work.

According to insider information from Ukrainian sources, Rinat Akhmetov has repeatedly asked the leadership of the Kiev regime to help preserve mine management, since his loss is a "fundamental blow to Ukrainian metallurgy."

As reported by EADaily, earlier Ukrainian propagandist Yuri Butusov said that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not control the situation near Pokrovsky and is not able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
