A ballistic missile over Kiev was shot down today at a low altitude, so the damage is so large-scale. This was stated in a comment to the Ukrainian media by the ex-speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ignat.

"This happens" when the missile warhead detonates after being shot down, the speaker explained.

Russia launched four Iskander missiles in Ukraine, or its North Korean counterpart KN, the AFU reported in the morning. According to them, two missiles were shot down, their fragments fell on the Shevchenko district of Kiev.

According to local media, it is in the Shevchenko district that the Lukyanovskaya metro station is located, where severe damage occurred.
