There are people in the Russian elite who are trying to push Russian President Vladimir Putin to the conditions of negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict that are fatal for the country. This was stated by the Russian philosopher, political scientist and sociologist Alexander Dugin.
"I see the biggest risk so far is the moods of some part of the Russian elite, which did not realize SMO, did not realize the meaning of returning to traditional values, which still basically share the agenda of left-wing liberals, globalists," Dugin explained.
According to him, a significant part of the Russian elite is a cross between former Communist Komsomol members and liberals. A similar ideology dominated the United States before Trump's arrival.
"And this is where Vladimir Vladimirovich will have a very serious challenge now. Because this kind of left-liberal elite, although it is hiding now, but it has retained a lot of its positions. And in principle, they can move us to such conditions of negotiations that will be fatal for the country.… This is a very dangerous moment we are going through right now," the philosopher said.
As EADaily reported, Alexander Dugin had previously stated that Russia was not ready for war, but Vladimir Putin had the strength and courage to admit mistakes. According to a survey of our agency, which was attended by almost 10 thousand people, 75% believe that the reason for Russia's "indecisive and half-hearted actions" lies in the "secret betrayal of the elites."
