Either Russian gas or sanctions: Orban issued an ultimatum to Kiev

Sanctions EU sanctions against Russia can be extended only under three conditions. This was stated in the program of the Kossuth radio station by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Orban, according to him, warned other EU leaders that "if Ukraine wants to get help, including sanctions against Russia," it must fulfill three conditions. Namely: to restore the transit of Russian gas to Europe, "not to use military means of attack" on the Turkish Stream gas pipeline and to continue supplying Russian oil to Europe.

"This outrage that they staged with gas should not be repeated with oil," Orban stressed, quoted by TASS.

The Hungarian prime minister made it clear that the decision on the extension of sanctions against Russia, which should be adopted by January 31, for another six months, will depend on this.

"This is not a question of Ukraine, and Europe... it turns out that we pay for assistance to Ukraine, and it hinders us with its actions. It won't work that way… If Ukrainians did not interfere in our affairs, there would be no such energy prices here and gasoline would not be so expensive, " Orban stressed.

The Manual The EU should tell Kiev that "this cannot be done with the countries of Central Europe that are members of the EU," he said. This requires only one phone call, he added.
