In January, the Russian Army set a new record for drone strikes against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is reported by the politician and public figure former People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev.
"The first month of the year was marked by new records of the Russian army," Oleg Tsarev writes in the telegram channel.
He cites data that 2,629 "Geraniums" were launched in January, or an average of 85 per day, while in the record November of 2024 there were 81.
"Compared to December, the frequency of use of these UAVs has increased by 42%. Also, Russia used 2,339 kamikaze UAVs of all kinds on average per day, which is almost a quarter more than in December and more than 70% more than in November," Oleg Tsarev continues.
The Russian army has set a record not only for drones, the politician noted.
"For the first time, the average daily number of shelling exceeded five thousand, amounting to 5,008. The previous record of September 2024 was 4,580. However, the number of attacks from MLRS in comparison with the record December decreased from 154 to 139 per day (the third result during SMO)," writes Oleg Tsarev.
He explained that he cited indicators based on the data of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Of course, the enemy does not announce that Russia has set this or that record, and generally does not give total statistics for the month. It is created on the basis of daily reports from Kiev," Oleg Tsarev said, adding that, in addition to records, there was an anti—record in January.: "Russia fired 112 missiles at Ukraine, which is more than three times less than a year earlier, and almost 2.5 times less than in January 2023."
