The director of the security service of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) John Voorhees and his deputy Brian McGill were suspended after they refused to provide access to classified materials to representatives of the Department of State Efficiency (DOGE). This was reported on February 3 by NBC News, citing sources.
"The Director of Security of the US Agency for International Development and his deputy were placed on administrative leave on Saturday after they tried to prevent employees of the Department of Public Administration Efficiency from gaining access to USAID secure systems," the channel's material says.
It is specified that the databases that DOGE employees tried to access contained personal files of agency employees, as well as data on its security system and USAID secret data.
According to the channel's interlocutors, DOGE employees were eventually able to gain access to secure systems, but it is not known what exactly they learned.
