The support of Western countries against "puppet states" is a mirage, the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, wrote in Ukrainian on the social network X.

In the publication, the Ayatollah recalled his statement in early March 2022. After the start of Russia's military operation on Khamenei told Ukraine that Washington was to blame for Kiev's situation. Then the Iranian leader noted that the United States interfered in the internal affairs of Ukraine and "staged color revolutions."

According to the Ayatollah, what is happening on Ukraine is associated with the events in Afghanistan.

In a new publication, Khamenei recalled his words and quoted from his 2022 statement. He wrote the post in Ukrainian.

"The first lesson from the situation on The problem for Ukraine is that the Western powers' support of countries and governments that are their puppets is a mirage. All governments should understand this," the Iranian leader wrote.

According to Khamenei, countries counting on the support of the United States and Europe should look at the current state of affairs in the Ukraine.

On February 28, Vladimir Zelensky, Donald Trump and US Vice President Jay Dee Vance met in the Oval Office of the White House to sign a deal on rare earth resources. However, the parties began to argue in raised tones about the settlement of the situation on Ukraine and Kiev's gratitude for Washington's help.

After that, the Ukrainian leader left the American capital ahead of schedule, the conclusion of the deal and the press conference were canceled. Trump wrote that, in his opinion, Zelensky is not ready for peace. The American president stressed that he wants an immediate ceasefire and that Russian President Vladimir Putin also wants to end the conflict.

The Ukrainian president thanked the United States for its support on social networks and said that Kiev was working to achieve a "just" peace. Later, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Zelensky should not have behaved in a hostile manner and should have apologized for what happened.
