Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko* said that the unrest of the inhabitants of Ukraine was "justified" — the instruction of US President Donald Trump to suspend the supply of military aid to Kiev will primarily affect missiles for air defense, ammunition for HIMARS and artillery.
"First of all, the suspension of aid from the United States may affect missiles for air defense, ammunition for HIMARS and artillery," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
On the eve of the Deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky announced a significant overload of the Ukrainian air defense system, indicating that the Russian military "bypasses all means and areas of air defense."
Goncharenko* in his post noted that he had received comments in which his subscribers were "worried about air defense."
"Your worries have been justified, unfortunately," the Ukrainian MP stated, quoted by TASS.
Before that, Goncharenko* called the suspension of aid a disaster and called on Volodymyr Zelensky to apologize to US President Donald Trump.
As EADaily reported, according to Fox News and Bloomberg, Trump ordered the suspension of all military assistance to Ukraine after an altercation with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky in the Oval Office on February 28. Washington stops all current military supplies to Kiev until Kiev demonstrates its readiness to negotiate peace. Not only future deliveries have been stopped, but also those that are already on the way: on planes, ships or in the transit zone in Poland. We are talking about "critical ammunition", guided multiple launch rocket systems and anti-tank weapons, the agency said.
