Rapprochement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is economically attractive for non-member states. This was announced on the Russia 24 TV channel by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexei Overchuk.
According to him, a distinctive feature of the EAEU and Russia's relations with the rest of the world in general is that Russia does not impose anything on anyone.
"First of all, we strive to convey to our partners that rapprochement with the Eurasian Economic Union brings certain benefits for them," Overchuk said.
He added that the processes taking place in the world today, such as deglobalization, will contribute to the growth of interest in the EAEU.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister noted that today, the population of the EAEU itself — about 190 million people — can be added to the residents of Iran — 85 million, Vietnam — 100-110 million, and Serbia, which are members of the EAEU free trade zone.
In addition, according to him, negotiations are currently underway with a number of countries to expand mutual market and export opportunities.
