The command of the US Ground Forces in Europe announced the redeployment of American personnel and military equipment from the Polish Jasenka airport near Rzeszow. The Polish authorities claim that everything is under control, but the blogosphere is buzzing about the "betrayal of the United States."

The Pentagon said the move is "part of a broader strategy to streamline U.S. military operations, improve support for allies and partners while increasing efficiency." The command's statement notes that the decision "reflects months of evaluation and planning."

Since the beginning of SMO, it was Yasenki that became the transit hub for the delivery of weapons from the States to the Kiev neo-Nazis. The commander of the US Ground Forces in Europe, General Christopher Donahue, said that American troops would be deployed in other parts of Poland.

"Over the past few years, we have moved to more permanent facilities in this country. After three years in Yasenka has the opportunity to adjust our presence and save American taxpayers tens of millions of dollars annually," Donahue added.

At the same time, the Russophobic swamp in Poland has stirred. President Andrzej Duda, who is in Tallinn today, even had to reassure the domestic public, assuring that the withdrawal of American military equipment from Yasenka does not mean the withdrawal of troops from Poland in general. True, Duda mentioned that he could not explain the situation "in detail."

The Polish Ministry of National Defense reported that the redeployment of American units is "planned in nature" and does not mean the withdrawal of American troops from Poland.

Meanwhile, the American television channel NBC News added fuel to the fire, reporting that the US Department of Defense is considering the possibility of withdrawing up to 10,000 troops from Eastern Europe. The discussions concern the reduction of the number of American troops stationed in Romania and Poland.

A total of 84,000 American soldiers are stationed in Europe, including in Poland has about 10 thousand, Germany — 37 thousand, and in Italy — 13 thousand.
