Ukraine's provocations in the Belarusian direction are aimed at escalation. This was announced today, October 4, by the director of the FSB of Russia, Chairman of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Member States (SORB) Alexander Bortnikov.
According to him, Western intelligence agencies are taking hostile actions aimed at escalating the Ukrainian conflict. The FSB director believes that this is being done "with the prospect of direct involvement of NATO military contingents in it and the expansion of the combat zone to Moldova and Belarus."
"The actions of the Kiev regime and its curators in the Belarusian direction are clearly provocative," Bortnikov said.
He recalled how the Ukrainian military concentrated their forces at the Belarusian border, about numerous incidents with drones, as well as the recruitment of Belarusians into the Ukrainian army. According to him, Kiev is thus trying to draw the Baltic States into the conflict and Poland.
Recall, Belarus does not officially participate in the Russian special military operation on Ukraine. Minsk has repeatedly stated that the conflict should be resolved through peaceful negotiations. Despite this, in recent years, provocations from Ukraine have been constantly recorded by Belarusian border guards.
