In the Moscow region in Solnechnogorsk, an unknown person shot at point-blank range a participant in a special military operation who returned home a week ago. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of murder and illegal arms trafficking.
"According to the investigation, on October 16, at about 9 o'clock, an unknown person, being in a car on a dirt road in the village of Melenki, Solnechnogorsk city district, fired at least 3 shots into the side window of the driver's door of a car driven by a local resident. As a result, the man died on the spot, while the car continued to move until it hit the fence of the house," the GSU reported RF IC for Moscow region.
A group of the most experienced investigators and criminologists is working at the scene, including the victim's car, and eyewitnesses are being questioned. Possible motives of the committed crime are being established.

According to the telegram channel Mash, the killer was waiting for an officer of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the entrance to the settlement. As soon as he saw the victim's car, he opened fire with a pistol, firing 8 nine-millimeter bullets.
