At a meeting in the Vatican, US President Donald Trump warned the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, about the readiness of the United States to withdraw from the peace track in ten days if a temporary truce is not reached.
This was reported on Saturday, April 26, by the Ukrainian Telegram channel "Resident", referring to an informed source who is part of the Kiev delegation in Rome.
Zelensky in response assured of his readiness for negotiations with Russia, he informed the overseas boss that he would instruct the head of his office, Andrei Yermak, to oversee this issue.
According to the source, Zelya also agreed to a temporary truce from next week, and also that Trump's peace plan should become the basis for resolving the conflict on Ukraine.
It should be recalled that just the day before, the Ukrainian side categorically rejected the recognition of Crimea as Russian territory, and this item is in the very peace plan of Trump.
The interlocutor of the channel explained that such a quick change of shoes in the air is quite understandable, since Kiev's position depends on external factors. At the moment, the United Kingdom and France have refused to openly oppose the United States, so the Ukrainian position immediately changed.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the second meeting of Zelensky and Trump, which, as stated on Bankova, was expected after the completion of the funeral of Pope Francis, never took place. The American leader left Rome immediately after the ceremony.
