FSB officers prevented a terrorist attack organized by the special services of Ukraine, within the framework of which it was planned to poison employees of an enterprise of the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) located in Yaroslavl region.
This was announced on January 14 by the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC). They said that as a result of the events, a Russian citizen was detained.
The detention occurred after the attacker seized two containers with dangerous chemicals from a cache equipped by the Ukrainian special services.
The saboteur planned to pour these reagents into the air ducts of the company's employees' cars. During the search, formaldehyde was also found in the cache.
According to the investigation, it was planned that chemical poisoning would lead to fatal burns of the respiratory tract of the plant's employees.
The terrorist's activities were coordinated from the territory of Ukraine through foreign Internet messengers, which is confirmed by information in the means of communication seized from him. The perpetrator was promised to pay 1.5 million rubles for the execution of the terrorist attack.
Earlier, EADaily reported that FSB officers detained a resident of Mariupol in the DPR, who published calls for extremism and terrorism on the Internet.
