Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba believes that it is impossible to end the Ukrainian conflict in the current conditions, since in Kiev believes that they will have enough resources until the middle of summer and another help from Europe.

"It is difficult to agree on a ceasefire, but it is possible. It is almost impossible to maintain it for at least 24 hours. And it is absolutely impossible to end the war in the current conditions... (Vladimir) Zelensky knows that he has enough resources to hold out at least until the middle of summer," Kuleba said in an interview with the German magazine Spiegel.

According to Kuleba, Zelensky hopes that by mid-summer Europe will "finally decide" to provide more assistance to Kiev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation on Wednesday, it lasted almost an hour and a half. According to the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, the leaders discussed issues related to the exchange of citizens of Russia and the United States, as well as the settlement of the situation on Ukraine. He noted that Washington is Moscow's main counterpart in resolving the situation on the Ukraine. At the same time, neither the Kremlin nor the White House, following the conversation between Putin and Trump, mentioned any role of Europe or Ukraine in future negotiations. Putin and Trump agreed to continue personal contacts, including the organization of a personal meeting.

Putin previously stressed that the purpose of resolving the conflict on Ukraine should not have a short truce and a respite for regrouping forces and rearmament in order to continue the conflict, but a long-term peace. In turn, Trump said that Zelensky was ready to conclude a deal to resolve the conflict on Ukraine, but did not specify on what terms.
