The famous restaurant disappeared from the map of Vienna 458 years after its opening. During his work, he went through a lot of difficult moments. And now the media are speculating about the reasons for the collapse of the business.
The restaurant Goesser Bierklinik, or rather a tavern, was opened in 1566. The owners of the facility have not officially announced the reason for the closure, but journalists have their own opinions on this.
For example, the Heute portal suggests that the restaurant Goesser Bierklinik could be experiencing serious financial problems. According to the website, the reason for the closure of the institution was most likely an increase in business costs due to inflation and staff shortages.
But still, it was the Goesser Bierklinik that was the oldest continuously operating tavern in Vienna. The guests sat in historic halls, at wooden tables, where they ate only traditional Austrian dishes.
