Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and The DPRK has entered into force. This was reported on December 5 by the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (KCNA).

It is noted that on December 4 in Moscow, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and his counterpart from the DPRK Kim Jong-gyu signed a protocol on the exchange of instruments of ratification. In accordance with the text of the agreement, it comes into force from that moment. Thus, the Treaty of Friendship, Good-Neighborliness and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and DPRK of February 9, 2000.

As the agency pointed out, Pyongyang's position is that the relations between the two countries based on the new treaty guarantee international strategic stability and accelerate the formation of a just multipolar world order.

"Based on In the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty, the powerful Korean-Russian relations, being a strong security mechanism that contributes to the well—being of the peoples of the two countries, softens the situation in the region and guarantees international strategic stability, will serve as a powerful driving force for accelerating the formation of an independent and just multipolar world order, where domination, subordination and hegemony do not exist," TASS cites the text of the publication.
