The number of accidents in the power grids of the Ukrainian capital due to power outages has increased by almost a third. Residents of Kiev turn on the equipment to the fullest when they give light.
"In Kiev, the number of power grid accidents has increased by a third. Basically, low-voltage equipment that directly feeds citizens' homes fails. One of the main causes of accidents is the simultaneous switching on of energy—intensive devices by Kiev residents immediately after the restoration of power supply,"DTEK-Kiev Electric Networks reports.
The metropolitan power company clarified that the number of accidents increased by 30% after November 18, when Russia struck another retaliatory blow and rolling blackouts resumed in the country, which are 3-4 hours a day.
