Ukraine will be at the negotiating table to resolve the conflict, but Europe will not be represented there. This was stated at the Munich Security Conference by US Presidential Special Envoy Keith Kellogg, CNBC reports.
Kellogg explained at the panel discussion that Europe may not be physically present at the peace negotiating table, but the interests of the region will be taken into account.
"Of course, Ukrainians will be at the negotiating table, it would be foolish to say that they will not be there. One of the important things I want to remind you about is that this war has been going on for the third year. President (Donald) Trump has now inherited this war. However, our goal is not to bring it to the death of every Ukrainian," said Kellogg, quoted by Strana.
When asked if he could outline the requirements for a reliable security guarantee for Ukraine, Kellogg said not yet.
"The answer at the moment is no," Trump's special representative replied.
He noted that he arrived at the Munich Security Conference to get information from Ukraine and Europe. Sometimes the US has a "problem of looking only through its own lens," he added.
As reported by EADaily, the losses of Ukraine in the conflict with Russia are three times higher than the losses of the United States in Vietnam and Korea, taken together, Donald Trump wants to stop it. This was stated by the special envoy of the US President Keith Kellogg, according to "Novini LIVE".
The conflict should be stopped, but for this it is necessary to ensure the protection and sovereignty of Ukraine, Kellogg added.
