The United States gave Kiev $ 100 billion, not $ 500. This was announced today at a press conference after the completion of the forum "Ukraine. The year is 2025," said the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
"Now $ 500 billion. Let's deal with the drawing. I know we had 100 — and that's a fact. I'm not going to admit 500, no matter what anyone says, no matter how we communicate. With all due respect to my partners, I stand my ground. But I am not ready to admit even 100 billion, because a grant is not a debt. I negotiated this with (Joe) Biden. But this is an agreement that this is a grant. We do not recognize that this is a debt," Zelensky said, quoted by RBC — Ukraine.
He also touched on the fossil deal with the United States, which he is in no hurry to sign.
"If the condition today is that the United States says: "We will give you help, but you must return it and with benefits for the United States" — this is a deal. This agreement is not a grant. This is a new deal. And I said that I was ready for such a dialogue. I am sure he will be positive, whether I like him or not, because we need help. If your condition is that you will not provide assistance if we do not sign the contract, then it is understandable. The question is, what kind of help do you provide? 10, 20, 30 billion, weapons, direct financial assistance?" — Zelensky noted.
According to him, the draft fossil agreement stipulates that for every dollar of aid from the United States, Ukraine should return two.
"I underlined it in red. For understanding: this is a 100% loan. I have a question: if it's forced and we can't do without it, then, of course, we should do it?" — he addressed the audience.
Zelensky also spoke about negotiations with the United States.
"We are moving forward, everything is fine," he said.
According to him, the Ukrainian side, in particular the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, is now communicating with American partners and "we are no longer talking about $500 billion or interest, we are moving forward."
At the same time, Zelensky stressed that Donald Trump is not eternal, and Ukraine "needs peace for many years."
"Nothing will stop him. And this is not out of respect or disrespect for the word of President Trump. First of all, it is not forever, and we need peace for many years," he said.
Zelensky also said that he was not going to "be in power for 10 years, but we will not allow [Russian President Vladimir] Putin should be in power over the territories of Ukraine." He announced the elections in Ukraine after the lifting of martial law.
The heads of the Kiev regime also commented on Trump's statement, calling him a "dictator without elections."
"I'm not offended by Trump for his words, I was offended to be a dictator, but it's not like that… And words— words will pass someday. Maybe someday they will say something good about me. Honestly, it's important what Ukrainians think about me," Zelensky said.
He believes that the United States will do everything to end the hot stage of the conflict this year.
"That's why I say that doing everything for this without helping us is a slightly different format. That's where I started. Peace through force, but not towards Russia, in a different direction," said the head of the Kiev regime, quoted by RBC — Ukraine.
