Not a single penny should go to the fund that Donald Trump's administration proposes to create jointly with Ukraine as part of the agreement on minerals, this is a scam. This was stated by former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at today's forum in Kiev on the occasion of the third anniversary of the beginning of SMO.
"I can't take it in. This is a scam (the Ukrainian translator used the word "equipment". — Ed.) about mineral resources. Not a single penny should go to this fund, which they propose to create jointly with Ukraine. There is a very big question price here," Johnson said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
The former prime minister also criticized Trump's recent statements on Ukraine and said that the current policy of the United States contradicts the course of supporting Kiev.
Recall, Trump wants to create a fund of half a trillion dollars, which Ukraine would fill with money to compensate for the assistance already provided by the Americans. However, Zelensky announced yesterday that Ukraine does not recognize the debt owed to the United States for the assistance already provided and is not going to compensate the Americans for it. At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Stefanishina says that the negotiations are "at the final stage."
Recall, today Johnson said exactly the opposite.
As EADaily reported, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Kiev on the third anniversary of the outbreak of the conflict on Ukraine. He himself announced this on social networks.
Officially, the purpose of the visit is presented as a desire to "provide support." However, Ukrainian sources report that Johnson actually came to persuade the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to sign an agreement on rare earth metals with the United States.
